Description:

Coach Robin Farina is back in Bermuda to run our second annual Women's Clinic.  Different format this time with before and after work sessions, followed by an all day Saturday clinic, but you'll get the same great instruction and time to practice what you learned.

Morning sessions 5:30-7am

Evening sessions 6-7:30pm

Meet at the Aquarium

 10 riders max per session

 Costs:

Individual weekday session - $35 each 

Saturday session - $75   

 Details of the training schedule below:

 Monday morning: Shake down with skills emphasis Basic skills Proper bike fit Pacelining with smooth rotations Communicating on bike as to direction of rotation Paceline options Pacing strategies with a group 

 Monday evening: Cornering session Proper way to approach corner with speed Form on the bike when cornering Paying attention to surrounding riders and how to anticipate Holding line through the corner the entire time and being predictable on bike 180 degree turn vs a flowing corner In the drops and not on tops, etc bike handling in corner

 Tues morning: Sprinting Types of sprinting or launching an attack 3 basic steps to sprinting Fom on bike to sprint Generating power and speed The final bike throw

 Tues evening: Hill climbing Proper gearing to climb Out of the saddle vs in the saddle Breathing techniques Attacking the hill vs surviving Overcoming fear of hills

 Wed Morning: Handling Skills Drills and Skills: bumping, pick ups Bike handling with confidence Reactions to different terrain Creating confidence on your bike and having trust in those around you Core work to help with handling

 Wed Evening: Race Implementation Attacking Counter attacking Establishing the break Knowing how to play your cards Evaluating the race 

Thurs Morning: Executing proper intervals Why intervals Which intervals What to look for in the specific workout Why every cyclist should do intervals. 

 (FYI only:)  Thurs Night: Triathlon Night - Get feet wet in mini-triathlon (no clinic session)

 (Free to participants in other sessions). Friday Morning: Women’s Group Ride - All who participated in a prior session are welcome to attend, no charge Implement all the things we have been working on this week Evaluate Ride and give feedback throughout Go for some sprint signs or markers

(FYI only:) Friday Night: Open

 Saturday: Everything 9-10:30: Skills/Drills 10:30 -Noon: Cornering & Attacking Lunch break (lunch provided) 12:30- 2:30pm: Pacelines & Hills

Sunday: President’s Cup Race (separate entry)
